These Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) accredited courses are delivered face-to-face at our training facilities. Facilitation of this course can be arranged at client business premises, pending minimum booking numbers.

TLILIC0001 Licence to Transport Dangerous Goods by Road

This course is Mandatory for a person who is required by law to apply for or renew a Dangerous Goods Driver’s License. The course covers all relevant aspects of the ADG 7 Code and Chain of Responsibility of all Individuals please refer to covered topics. The course is designed for anyone who wishes to, or are required by law to obtain or have a dangerous goods driver’s license including truck drivers, tanker drivers etc.

A dangerous goods driver’s license is required for the transport of dangerous goods in the following cases:
  • In a receptacle with a capacity of more than 500 liters
  • If there is more than 500 kilograms in a single receptacle
  • In the case of intermediate bulk containers (IBC’s) where the total capacity of all IBC’s is more than 3000 liters or where any IBC is filled or emptied while on a vehicle.

On Completion On successful completion of TLILIC0001 Licence to Transport Dangerous Goods by Road, participants will be issued with a TLILIC0001 Licence to Transport Dangerous Goods by Road Statement of Attainment by Trans-Plant Training Pty Ltd, and a Dangerous Goods licence photo card, issued by the Environmental Protection Agency

Safe Load Program (SLP)

The safe load program (some people call it the safe load program passport due to former AIP Australian Institute of Petroleum Passport) has been especially prepared to provide generic introduction training for Bulk Fuel Loaders entering SLP participating Fuel terminals and depots throughout Australia. For people wishing to enter the workforce within the fuel industry as a bulk dangerous goods driver (fuel tanker driver). Your SLP will be required for you to access into or to transport bulk dangerous goods out of participating SLP fuel terminals including the major terminals and various independent terminals and depots around Australia. The course covers all aspects as to identify and classify dangerous goods, safe loading and unloading dangerous goods procedures, apply workplace health and safety guidelines, control of ignition sources and fire risk management please refer to covered topics as all the course generic material is commonly used at all participating SLP fuel terminals including the major terminals and various independent terminals and depots around Australia. At the successful completion of this course the participant will attend a participating SLP fuel terminal for a competency bases assessment of which all details will be supplied at the day of training as it is a requirement that the training and assessment be conducted by separate parties.

    TLID2003 Handle Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Substances

    The Dangerous Goods Awareness course is intended for anyone who may handle Dangerous Goods and/or Hazardous Substances, or documentation of Dangerous Goods. It is intended for Stores personnel, Administration staff, Stock Pickers, Forklift Operators and drivers of un-licenced Dangerous Goods loads. This course is intended for anyone working in Agriculture, Transport, Warehousing and Distribution, and Storage industries, and is designed to meet workplace training obligations. This course is designed to meet workplace training obligations relating to division 3, clause 22 of the Australian Dangerous Goods code (ADG7). According to the ADG code 7, anyone involved in the transportation, storage and handling of Dangerous Goods is required, by law, to undergo appropriate training. Trans-Plant Training Pty Ltd highly recommends for employers to meet these requirements. Under ADG7 division3, clause 22, employees undertake this course every 5 years to coincide with the timeframe the ADG Code 7th edition licencing authority and NSW EPA (the licencing authority for Dangerous Goods Drivers’ Licences) require for truck drivers transporting Dangerous Goods.
